Milton, ON – The Miracle on Main initiative has raised millions through donations and sponsorships for underprivileged families, local charities and public schools, in addition to purchasing thousands of toys for the young patients at McMaster Children’s Hospital and SickKids. Last year, Halton Regional Police Services merged Toys for Tots into Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation’s Miracle on Main Street and the signature event is happening on Monday, December 9th, 2019 in Milton.  It is a Christmas carnival with rides, free food and refreshments, entertainment and a massive collection of toys for those in need.  In addition to the anticipated attendees, students are bussed in from schools to partake in the activities where admission is FREE with a donation of a new unwrapped toy.

Poster

One of the main attractions is former WWE wresting superstar Tiger Ali Singh. You would think standing at 6’4” and weighing 285lbs would be enough to attract attention, but Tiger takes it to a new level. For the past 10 years he’s used his celebrity to promote inclusion and attends the Miracle on Main event wearing a red Santa coat, red turban, his world championship belt over one shoulder and bellows out “Merry Christmas” for all to hear. He promotes respect for those celebrating Christmas religiously, as well as, for those celebrating it socially as a festive time of year.  His motto, which has been adopted by the foundation, named after his father, wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh, “Sickness and poverty don’t discriminate; neither should the spirit of giving”.

In addition, since 2015, the foundation has donated $100,000 to public schools to support initiatives such as mental health, inclusive classrooms, literacy, coding and breakfast programs.

This year’s event in Milton will take place on Monday, December 9th from 7:00am to 10:00am on a closed off portion of Main Street out front of Troy’s Diner. Wrestling’s living legend Tiger Jeet Singh will be in attendance, along with His Worship Mayor Gord Krantz, Members of Council, Dignitaries and other sports celebrities. Photographs will be available to be taken with members of Halton Regional Police, Milton Fire Department and Halton EMS.

The foundation will also be promoting its inaugural Miracle on Main event in Brampton on December 11th and its 9th annual event at McMaster Children’s Hospital’s on December 13th.
