Wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Jeet Singh Jr. paid a visit to FirePower CrossFit earlier this week to watch and assist Milton students in their training.
The students are preparing for Tigers High School Challenge, part of the 2011 Tiger Fest to be held on Saturday, June 4th as part of Milton’s Downtown Street Festival.
Tigers High School Challenge will pit top student athletes (4 male and 4 female) from each of the three local high schools (Bishop Reding, E.C. Drury and Milton District) in a strongman style competition. The young athletes will participate from 12:00 – 2:00 PM in a very challenging array of events that will culminate with each team pulling a bus across the finish line!
Teacher Mike O’Brien was on hand and explained that the event is in support of a new fitness centre being built at Milton District High School. He commended the other two secondary schools for deciding to participate and support this initiative by helping to raise funds and awareness.
Milton Today TV captured the following video of the training session:

this is superb way of involving the students to keep fit and at the same time funds can be raised for a very worthy cause. More power to the Tiger Jeet Singh fondation.
