BURLINGTON, November 8, 2016 ‐‐ The Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) was pleased to announce the appointment of its first‐ever Ambassadors, Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Ali Singh, “the Tigers”.
The two renowned former wrestling superstars are also well-known humanitarians and philanthropists. Through a series of high profile community events in their home town of Milton and around the globe, the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation raises awareness and proceeds on behalf of various charities and schools with which they work.
“I am truly humbled and grateful to HLF for honouring my father and me as its Ambassadors. We are excited at the prospects of this newest tag‐team between HLF and the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation in supporting students and schools throughout all of Halton,” said Tiger Ali Singh.
“The role of Ambassador is a first for the HLF,” said HLF’s board chair, David Grant. “As our Ambassadors, the Tigers can help to share our message about the need to eliminate financial barriers for students in the Halton District School Board with a wider audience than we could ever reach on our own. Their deep understanding of the importance of community and helping those less fortunate directly resonates with HLF’s own mission. We are very grateful for their incredible support.”
To formally announce the partnership, a plaque was presented to Tiger Ali Singh by the board chair and executive director Lesley Mansfield of the Halton Learning Foundation.
