Brampton, ON – The Miracle on Main initiative has raised millions through donations and sponsorships for underprivileged families, local charities and school boards, in addition to purchasing thousands of toys for patients at McMaster Children’s Hospital and SickKids. The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF) will present Brampton’s inaugural Miracle on Main event on Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. It is a Christmas carnival with free amusement rides, petting zoo, pony rides, ice skating, train rides, entertainment and a massive collection of toys for those in need. An exciting new addition to this year’s festivities will be a Christmas Market for anyone looking for that special gift for a loved one. Admission is FREE with a donation of a new unwrapped toy.
Through popular demand, TJSF has been invited to Brampton to promote the message of inclusion and goodwill that has become synonymous with prior Miracle on Main events in Milton over the past ten years.
Last year, Halton Regional Police Services merged Toys for Tots into TJSF’s Miracle on Main Street and this year an exciting partnership will be formed with Peel Regional Police Toys for Tots and Cram the Cruiser in hope of supporting more families than ever before in Brampton.
One of the main attractions is former WWE wresting superstar Tiger Ali Singh. You would think standing at 6’4” and weighing 285lbs would be enough to attract attention, but Tiger takes it to a new level. For the past 10 years he’s used his celebrity to promote inclusion and attends the Miracle on Main event wearing a red Santa coat, red turban, his world championship belt over one shoulder and bellows out “Merry Christmas” for all to hear. He promotes respect for those celebrating Christmas religiously, as well as, for those celebrating it socially as a festive time of year. His motto, which has been adopted by the foundation, named after his father, wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh, “Sickness and poverty don’t discriminate; neither should the spirit of giving”.
In addition, since 2015, the foundation has donated $100,000 to public schools to support initiatives such as mental health, inclusive classrooms, literacy, coding and breakfast programs.
This year’s event will take place at Brampton City Hall (Ken Whillan’s Square). Wrestling’s living legend Tiger Jeet Singh will be in attendance, along with His Worship Mayor Patrick Brown, Members of Council, Dignitaries and other sports celebrities. Photographs will be available to be taken with members of l;Peel Police, Brampton Fire Department and Peel EMS.
The foundation will also be promoting its 11th annual Miracle on Main event in Milton on December 9th and its 9th annual event at McMaster Children’s Hospital’s on December 13th.
