Miracle on Main Street Objective
The objective of “Miracle on Main Street” is to promote the spirit of giving among all faiths. Sickness and poverty do not discriminate; neither should the spirit of giving.
The donations raised each year go towards the purchase of toys, food and life essentials for families experiencing poverty and injustice via The Salvation Army and Halton Women’s Place; purchase of toys for children admitted at SickKids and McMaster Children’s Hospital; and supporting public school initiatives such as mental health, inclusive classrooms, literacy, breakfast programs, coding, etc. via the Halton Learning Foundation.
The event takes place on an early December morning from the hours of 7am to 10am on a closed off portion of Main Street out front of Troy’s Diner. Breakfast will be served, carols will be sung, autographs and pictures will be taken with wrestling’s living legend Tiger Jeet Singh, former WWE superstar Tiger Ali Singh, members of the Maple Leaf Alumni, players from the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Dignitaries and members from Halton Regional Police and Milton Fire Department.
There will be amusement rides, petting zoo, pony rides, carriage rides, staged performances by local students, train rides, food and hot chocolate.
Admission, rides, food and drinks are FREE! All that is asked is attendees donate a new unwrapped toy.
