Prime Minister Stephen Harper welcomed visitors to TigerFest in Brampton on September 24th with the letter below:
WRESTLING EXTRAVAGANZA FOR CHARITY
Free Family Friendly Event
TIGERFEST, a charity wrestling exhibition and free Top 40 concert, will take place in Chinguacousy Park on Saturday, September 24th, a date chosen to coincide with Brampton Day in order to capitalize on the crowds it traditionally attracts. Scotia Bank and Century 21 New Star Realty will be the presenting sponsors for this exciting family event.
TIGERFEST, previously held in Milton, has been proven to attract a diverse audience and it is hoped the event will appeal to, and serve, Brampton’s quickly growing South East Asian community of over 250,000 people and approximately 1 million in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
It’s no secret that the wholesome family entertainment that professional wrestling provides is experiencing an all time high in popularity around the world. So with this in mind, TIGERFEST has utilized the popularity of professional wrestling, the marketability of wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh and his son former WWE superstar Tiger Ali Singh to promote Canada’s only free wrestling extravaganza in support of a number of charities.
