about TOY DRIVE

The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation and Peel Regional Police (formerly Toys for Tots) are commencing the annual Miracle on Main Street toy drive. This is the first year of the merger between the two organizations to collect and distribute gift cards, toys, food and lifestyle products to our most vulnerable neighbours living throughout the Peel Region. The partnership will allow the opportunity to enhance the annual donation drives and to work collaboratively to assist more families than ever before.

One of the main attractions is former WWE superstar Tiger Ali Singh. Standing at 6’4” and weighing 285lbs would be enough to attract attention, but Tiger takes it to a new level. For the past 15 years he’s used his celebrity to promote inclusion and is invited to speak at school assemblies and attends the Miracle on Main event wearing a red Santa coat, red turban and his world championship belt over one shoulder. He promotes respect for those celebrating the holidays religiously, as well as, for those celebrating it socially as a festive time of year. His motto, which has been adopted by TJSF, namesake for his father, wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh, “Sickness and poverty don’t discriminate; neither should the spirit of giving.”

It all began in 1993 when Peel Regional Police created the Toys for Tots campaign. Officers began by collecting donations in water jugs to purchase new toys for children in need throughout our community. Each year they strive to reach more children by delivering toys, smiles and a message of hope to kids and their families.

Together with their community partners and supporters, they have brought joy to children and families in Peel Region for over three decades. Your generosity has had a meaningful and lasting impact on countless families in their community.
