Milton, ON – Preparations are underway to hold the first official launch for ‘Miracle on Main Street’ at Tiger Jeet Singh Public School on Friday, December 7, 2012. “I cannot think of a better environment to hold the ‘launch’ then in front of our approximate 1,100 students in a school assembly,” says Tiger Jeet Singh, Chairman of the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to educate our children on how they can directly impact the lives of the less fortunate during the holiday season.”
“The staff and students at Tiger Jeet Singh Public School are thrilled to host the kick-off for Miracle On Main Street on Friday December 7,” says Rick Nodwell, Principal of Tiger Jeet Singh Public School. “We are very excited to add our support to the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation’s effort to assist families and children in our community that require our help during this holiday season! We encourage our children to give to others and to those in need as a part of their community service and to make a better world.”
“The objective of Miracle on Main Street is to promote the spirit of giving among all faiths,” says Tiger Jeet Singh Jr., President of Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation. “As proud Canadians, our event gives individuals of ALL faiths an opportunity to support families experiencing poverty and children suffering from sickness.”
“I would like to take this opportunity to show a congratulatory ‘thumbs up’ to the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation, the local dignitaries, the sponsors and volunteers who work all year round to bring this event to Milton and Main Street,” says Gord Krantz, Mayor of Milton.
The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation is now making plans for their 4th annual “Miracle on Main Street” charity event formally known as “Troy’s Toy Drive”. The donations raised each year go towards the purchase of toys, food and life essentials for families experiencing poverty via The Salvation Army, Halton Women’s Shelter ; and children suffering from sickness at the Hospital for Sick Children and McMaster Children’s Hospital.
