“I am so grateful for the overwhelming support we have received and totally blown away by the record amount raised, which is a blessing from God and testament to the wonderful individuals that come out each and every year to participate”, says Tiger Jeet Singh Jr., President of TJSF. “My heartfelt appreciation to every volunteer, as this event would not be possible without their efforts!”

Peel Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah announced a new partnership between Peel Police and TJSF to spread awareness of Miracle on Main (formally Toys for Tots) across the Region of Peel. This is how TJSF and Halton Police have partnered over the past five years in supporting families in need throughout Halton Region. Milton Mayor Gord Krantz shared that his Town Council recently passed a motion in favour of providing funding for a combined partnership between TJSF and Milton DBIA to hold a Miracle on Main live event in Milton. Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown announced this would be his city’s second year to fund Miracle on Main combined with their traditional tree lighting event to provide a more inclusive affair along with a toy drive to support children via local charities and hospitals.

Dignitaries and special guests in attendance at the golf tourney included Consul-General of Japan Takuya Sasayama, Milton Mayor Gord Krantz, Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, Milton MP Adam van Koeverden, Peel Chief of Police Nishan Duraiappah, Deputy Chief of Peel Police Mark Dapat, Honorable Lisa Raitt, members from both Peel and Halton Police, Maple Leaf Alumni Peter Ing & Ric Natress, Milton Councilors John Challinor II, Sameera Ali and Kristina Tesser Dersken. It truly was an international affair as attendees came in from India, US, England and a delegation from Japan.

“I would like to thank our Presenting Sponsor EY, Caddy Sponsor Zochem and Hole-In-One Sponsor Wallace Chevrolet”, says Tiger Jeet Singh, Chairman of TJSF. “We are very grateful for the hospitality shown to us again by Granite Ridge Golf Club who have become wonderful ambassadors to all our guests visiting from outside of Milton.”

Proceeds from the golf tournament will go towards the purchase of toys, food and life essentials for families experiencing hardship via the Salvation Army and Halton Women’s Place; children admitted over the holidays at SickKids and McMaster Children’s Hospital; supporting local school initiatives such as mental health, breakfast programs, literacy and inclusive classrooms; and supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Peel.
