Former WWE performer Tiger Ali Singh chats about the upcoming Tiger’s Wrestle Fest event in Milton, Ontario, which raises funds to help restore the fitness center of his old secondary institution; Milton District High School.
Wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Jeet Singh Jr. paid a visit to FirePower CrossFit earlier this week to watch and assist Milton students in their training.
The students are preparing for Tigers High School Challenge, part of the 2011 Tiger Fest to be held on Saturday, June 4th as part of Milton’s Downtown Street Festival.
Tigers High School Challenge will pit top student athletes (4 male and 4 female) from each of the three local high schools (Bishop Reding, E.C. Drury and Milton District) in a strongman style competition. The young athletes will participate from 12:00 – 2:00 PM in a very challenging array of events that will culminate with each team pulling a bus across the finish line!
On Saturday, June 4th as part of Milton’s Downtown Street Festival, Tigers Wrestle Fest will return by popular demand presented by Scotia Bank.
While the Milton Street Festival has been taking place over the past four years attracting between 20,000 to 30,000 visitors each year, this number was blown away last year, due in part to the addition of the inaugural Tigers Wrestle Fest with over 50,000 people attending.
Proceeds from Tiger Fest 2011 will go towards the Japan Relief Campaign, supporting the Salvation Army, Halton Learning Foundation and visiting children at McMaster Children’s Hospital. (more…)
